I had such an amazing experience with Lauren Sumida Photography! Not only did she find the most spectacular location for us out-of-towners, but Lauren was incredible with both of my Icelandic Sheepdogs, puppy Evie and adult Oso; she was patient, creative, and so good at bringing out their personalities. The whole session felt relaxed and fun, and the photos turned out absolutely perfect! She captured their connection and characters beautifully. I couldn’t be happier with the results and will definitely book with her again in the future! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a talented, kind, and professional photographer!

What an amazing experience working with Lauren Sumida Photography for my horse and rider photoshoot. Lauren was incredibly patient, professional, and had such a natural way with my horses. It’s not easy to capture animals—especially horses—at their best, but Lauren made it look effortless.
Lauren took the time to understand each of my horses personalities and what shots I hoped to get as well as offered suggestions when I ran out of ideas! The final photos were absolutely stunning—beautiful lighting, perfect timing, and each image truly represented my relationship with each horse as well as their individual character!

Lauren has been our go to photographer for all things but especially animal related for years now! From dock diving, to family portraits, to cat or dog photography, she’s got you covered! I love how hands on she is, she’s not afraid to jump into the mix, and help out. If your animal is timid though she’s also great at explaining her ideas so you can bring them to life together. It’s been amazing to see Lauren’s work evolve over the years as well. She has grown so much as a photographer and her work shows it! I have been lucky enough to do two photo shoots with Lauren. Wow, incredible, followed by lots of squeals of joy were the words that came out of my mouth when I saw the photos of my dogs after each session. Lauren herself is an absolute gem-she is fun, kind, easy to work with and incredibly talented. She really listens to her clients and does a phenomenal job creating an environment where we all (dogs and humans) had fun while still making magic. For our 2nd shoot together I had my 3 personal dogs and a friend’s dog. All four are high energy, very excitable labs. Their antics didn't phase Lauren and the images she captured are amazing. She was able to capture each one of their unique personalities and what makes each dog so special. I am already so excited for the next one. Book the shoot-you will not regret it!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Lauren Sumida Photography. Lauren has captured some of the most important moments in my dogs’ lives, from the explosive power of dock diving, to the intensity of detection work, to the quiet, soulful beauty of portraits. She has a gift for seeing each dog exactly as they are.
One of my favorite projects she’s ever done for us is documenting Xamira’s entire first year. From tiny puppy to powerhouse one-year-old, Lauren preserved every stage with such heart and talent.
